Night Time Skincare Routine (Acne Prone Skin)

Hello Loves!

If your like me and have combination/oily acne prone skin than continue to read this blog post to find out what I do at night to help control my breakouts!

The most important thing that I have learned (a little too late in life) is that you always want to remove any makeup from during the day. I never did this as a teenager and I regret it so much because I feel this is the biggest reason for all of my breakouts.

To remove my makeup I like to use Garnier Micellar Water, this stuff even removes waterproof mascara! It also doesn’t leave your skin greasy which was the biggest problem I was having with makeup removers.

micellar-waterThe next product I use is First Aid Beauty Facial Cleanser, I was a little skeptical about this product when I bought it because I wasn’t sure how my crazy skin would react. I have to admit that this stuff has to be the best cleanser I have come across in a long time, it doesn’t really have a scent so the bottle says, but to me it smells just like a bar of dove body soap. I even find that it removes any makeup that the Garnier Micellar Water didn’t.

The last and final product that I use on a nightly basis is a product I purchased from a friend who sells Perfectly Posh. I was on the market for a new moisturizer and she sent me a sample of one that I have fallen in love with which is Moisturize 911. I could never find a good moisturizer that wouldn’t leave that greasy/oily feeling on my face in the morning or one that would somehow dry out the skin around my nose. This product definitely does the deed and has corrected my skin tone as well! ( I had some redness in my cheeks). This product has also doubled as a primer just due to the simple fact that it isn’t greasy at all!

moisturize-911Since I’m a total nerd I have dedicated my Friday nights to ‘Facial Friday’ and use my e.l.f Hydrating Bubble Mask which I was actually sent from Influenster a couple of months ago to review. I had never used a bubble mask before so the first time I used it, it felt really weird but I loved how my skin felt afterwards (smooth as a baby’s bottom!) This has now become a part of my Friday night routines

elf-hydrating-bubble-maskI would love to hear about certain products that you use for your particular skin needs and what other great products you suggest I give a try!

  1. Wow! I didn’t know Garnier made a makeup remover! I hate the oily residue left behind by mine so I’ll have to check it out! I currently use the Emminence Line of skin care products and LOVE them. They are great for my combination skin and completely organic. They are a little pricey, but so worth it. Thanks for the review! Can’t wait to check out Garnier Micellar water!

  2. I’ve heard the Garnier Micellar cleansing water is supposed to be really good…I keep meaning to pick one up and try it. It’s difficult to change from your normal routine to try something new.

  3. I love the garnier micellar water too. I often use it instead of cleanser since it does everything in one step. I suffer from hormonal acne, so I need to be really careful what I use on my skin. I also love the garnier foaming face wash as well. It smells like grapefruit!

  4. I really love garnier micellar water, especially the oil infused one! It’s so important to take make off before bed. That bubble mask sounds great!

  5. I love the Garnier Micellar Water! It’s so soft and gentle for eyes! A moisturize called Moisturize911 sounds super interest! It’s so good time find a good product that works well for you. Facial Friday is awesome, I might have to do something similar!

  6. I’m not so diligent when it comes to night time skincare routine. I mean other than removing my makeup (when I even bother putting it on) I don’t do much else. Your post has been an eye opener. I had no idea there were so many products I could use. I’ll definitely try them

  7. I love Micellar Water! I can’t believe that my skin care routine existed before it. I love facial masks a lot. I try to use one at least once a week. I’m in my mid 30’s and have also recently discovered a great pore tightener that I can’t live without.

  8. This sounds pretty great. I need to start doing a nighttime routine because my poor skin could really use it. I will have to try this!

  9. I totally have a routine every night and I don’t think thats wired at all! I’ve never heard of a bubbles mask either but it sounds fun!

  10. It’s so great to read about your routine! I have super sensitive skin that can get pretty red at times, so it’s great to find other options. I try to use the least aggressive products as possible

  11. I love Garnier Micellar water and really need to try the elf bubble mask – I’ve been seeing it everywhere right now so I think it’s time to pick it up:) x

  12. My skincare routine has always been very basic. I love the Pacifica Face Wash, Sea Foam variety. And I have used Neutrogena Sensitive Skin moisturizer since I was in high school, it has always worked the best for my sensitive skin!

  13. I love the idea of having a ‘facial friday’! Getting into a better skincare routine is something I definitely need to focus on.

  14. I’m in that odd 30 year old stage of still breaking out but starting to fight the aging process. These are some great tips. I need to put exfoliating in my routine.

  15. Howdy! I couⅼd haѵe swor Ӏ’ve bwen tо this
