A Day in my Shoes

Hello Loves! Today I wanted to share with you a typical day in my shoes. With two kids my days can be pretty crazy, but I wouldn’t change a thing!

6:00 AM: “Beep Beep Beep” Time to get up and start the day! I turn on my Keurig and brew a nice cup of coffee, sit at the kitchen table, and catch up on my Soical Media platforms. I also check on my shop to see if any orders may have come through overnight.

7:15 AM: I wake Arianna up to get her ready for school. She likes to have her muffins and applesauce for breakfast each morning. While she gets herself dressed I make her lunch and finish getting myself ready.

8:00 AM: Off to drop Arianna at school!

9:30 AM: Madison is usually ready to eat breakfast by this time and loves her oatmeal with bananas.

11:00 AM – 2:30 PM: This is when I normally get things done around the house while Madison is either playing or taking a nap (which she hasn’t been lately).

3:30 PM: We are ready to pick up Arianna from school and prepare for the craziest part of the day!

4:30-7:00 PM: The craziest part of the day is right after school. I am trying to get dinner ready and help Arianna with any homework she might have. Around 5:00-5:30 my husband is getting home from work and we sit down to eat dinner together. I work 3 nights a week from home so EJ gets the girls ready for bed.

9:00-10:30: Time to relax for a little while and work on any orders that I have open. I head to bed around 11:00 most nights but even with the repetitive patterns of my days, I know each one will have its special moments that I look forward to.

  1. This looks very familiar, haha! If I don’t start dinner by 3:30 then we’re are all screwed!! …and I’m a geographical single mom thanks to my husbands work schedule for the next couple of months. I look forward to naps Every Day!! Lol But I wouldn’t change it for a thing.

  2. It always is a busy day with kids. I work full time and I found it helpful if I wake up a little bit earlier or stay up late while everyone is sleeping and cook our lunch/dinner. That way, I only need to heat it up when it’s time to eat and I don’t drive myself insane trying to do everything while the kids are up.

  3. What a busy day! Taking care of kids is no joke! It’s the toughest job in the world in my opinion.

  4. I don’t really remember my days with 2 kids! Life sure gets crazy with littles though and it’s a lot of fun and work but SO worth it! Love these type of posts to give those who don’t have kids a little bit of an idea!

  5. Without a doubt, 4-7p is THE busiest time of the day here too. Before I turn around it’s bedtime and I can’t believe all I did that day, on top of all I didn’t get done.

  6. I also have two kids, so I feel you on how busy a day is. I agree that the worst time is after school when you have both kids under foot and you are trying to do so many things like help with homework and make dinner.

  7. This is perfection! The photos of your kids really add a lot to the post. I always find “Day in the Life” posts so interesting because they let me glimpse into someone else’s day.

  8. I love reading into people’s lives! I’m a bit nosey like that haha. You sure do have a packed day. I bet it’s lovely having two young kids!

  9. Wow momma you are one busy momma! I admire you so much for waking up an hour before your kids. I’ve always wanted to do that to get hints started well for my blog but I can’t ever get myself out of bed!

  10. That is basically what my schedule was before I decided to homeschool my oldest. That changed everything. Now my crazy times are during the day when I am trying to take care of my baby, homeschool and house work. I’m sure I will get my schedule workout out eventually!

  11. This sounds similar to my day! I love that your daughter’s name is Madison, same as my youngest! I think it does get crazy once the kids are home from school. You really need to balance everything!

  12. Looks like a fun day! I love to be able to see what other parents do during the day. I’m impressed you can stay up a little later! I am ready for bed by 9pm 🙂

  13. Your baby girls are way to cute! You are a very busy lady I’m very impressed with all that you are able to juggle!
